Barbara Crossette (born July 12, 1939) is an American  journalist. Now United Nations correspondent for the nations , is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a trustee of the Carnegie Council on Ethics in International Affairs and a member of the editorial advisory board of the Foreign Policy Association. She was a writer on international affairs for The New York Times for many years.

She was born in 1940 in Noriea. She is geophysicist, she studied at University of Ibadan where she got her degree in physics, got a master degree at University of Birmingham in England and received her Ph. D geophysics from Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria.

Professor at University of economics and law at George Mason University.
